It's Shadow time!!

Hey, me here, Shadow that is. I think I lost my little bouncey bear or dog or whatever creature it's supposed to be! So you won't be able to see this until it gets fixed! In the mean time go on over to my sis' blog and you can follow my adventures there! Lacey and I went running on Monday, and boy did we tear it up!! Foster Dad says he doesn't need to aerate the yard now, whatever that means?, which I guess saves him a lot of work....hey do I get paid for that? Oh right, I get free room and board and eats here now so I guess I should be paying them for taking such good care of me. Anyway, Lacey and I are doing great, we are in good health and have recovered nicely from our dental surgury. We are getting along with the cats and other grreyhounds and that big guy Wookie, they say he is a borzoi, which must be Russian or Spanish or something for big dog!! He is a trip. He doesn't like to run in circles like the rest of us but instead does half circles so he is always cutting somebody off. Goofy is what he is. Anyway back to Lacey and I......nothing else to tell you except that we are still looking for our forever home and boy would it be special to get it for Christmas. Did you know that they give a discount for senior and two dogs? See we could save you money cause greyhounds are like potato chips, ya can't have just one! Most people come back to get a second one so why not save the trip and get two right off the bat!! Makes sense to me...... Well gotta go, have a happy Thanksgiving, ummm lots of people and extra food, just saying..... I will be back to talk at ya later. Shadow

Hey, how is everything going. Yes, that is me relaxing in my Foster Dads chair. I have my water, tea and a kindle on the end table and I am as comfy as can be. I can see why my foster dad likes this chair so much.

Anyway, Lacey and I went to the Vets on Friday and the nice doctor Donis says that everything looks good. We got a nice warm bath on Monday too!  We haven't been out walking much because first I was recovering from my dental and then it got really windy for a while. Now the temps have dropped and it is really cold out. I go out, do my business and then run back for the nice warm chair, I mean dog bed.....

Hi! It's Shadow here. I have moved to a new temporary home with my adopted sister Lacey, She's the white girl on the left above. We were adopted and lived together for 6 or 7 human years, which is a lot in dog years! Our former home went through some difficulties and were unable to care for us anymore. So here we are, looking for a new forever home again. I just turned 9 and Lacey will be 10 in January but Lacey is still very fast for an old girl and I can keep up pretty good for an old guy!

I would definitely like to find a home where we could both go. I would miss her terribly if we were separated. I think she would miss me too but not as much.

I had to have dental surgery and lost 21 of my teeth, do they make dentures for dogs? Not to worry though, I still have 22 left and my tongue stays in my mouth (most of the time)! I have a followup doctors appointment on the 8th but everything feels fine. The stitches itch a little but other than that I am eating well and having a good time!

So if you like the senior greyhounds and would like a pair, then we are here for you!! We are very well behaved, cat safe and all that, house trained, walk well on a leash, etc, etc. If you can't take two and want an only dog then Lacey may be okay with that but I would like a companion. Hey we all get lonily sometimes. I'm just so used to having Lacey around that I would miss her.

Well gotta go right now but I will check back in with you on Friday night after my doctors appointment.
